We're excited to invite you to our next NeXtworking™ event on September 9th from 4:30 – 6:30 PM at Northwest Federal Credit Union in Herndon.
As always, NeXtworking is an opportunity to connect with fellow community members, share ideas, and learn something new together. This month, we'll be tackling a topic that has the potential to drastically impact all of us - cybersecurity and fraud prevention.
Cybersecurity in a Digital World
Our presenters from Northwest Federal Credit Union will explore the growing threats of cybercrime and fraudulent activities targeting individuals and organizations alike. Together, we'll discuss:
- Common attack methods such as phishing, social engineering, malware, and account takeover
- Current trends in financial fraud and cybercrime
- Practical steps to better protect your accounts, data, and assets
- Best practices including multi-factor authentication and proactive monitoring
Whether you're responsible for protecting a business, supporting customers, or simply looking to stay safer online, you'll leave with useful insights and actions you can put into practice right away.
One Final Push for Step Into Success
Many of you joined us in June for our Step Into Summer event and helped launch our Step Into Success campaign with the Northwest Federal Credit Union Foundation.
As we wrap up the campaign as school starts, we're inviting our NeXtworking community to help us cross the finish line. Thanks to Eleccion's matching commitment, every dollar donated will be matched up to $2,500, helping provide shoes and other essentials to local students.
